Designed to provide plant growth space, plant production supplies, integrated pest management solutions and quality seed to our internal and external stakeholders.
The goal of GIFS’ Plant Growth Facilities Platform is to provide plant growth space, plant production supplies, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) solutions and quality seed to our internal and external stakeholders.
We work together with our science programs and technology platforms, stabilizing processes to transfer our research on a large-scale and delivering impact in agriculture.
Our plant growth facilities include 6950 square feet of greenhouse space with 12 individual compartments, and 1200 square feet of growth chamber space with 15 walk-in and eight reach-in chambers. Our facilities also include three tissue culture incubators.
This platform manages:
- Greenhouse and growth chamber space;
- GIFS’ seed bank;
- Hydroponics system; and
- Imaging system.

Terms of Use
GIFS’ plant growth spaces are available on a monthly basis, to a maximum of 12 months per term, with the ability to extend the term. We are unable to accept controlled crops such as pre-germinated plantings.
