Dr. Kimberly MacKay

Bioinformatics Researcher, Data Management and Analytics

Kimberly MacKay is a member of the Data Management & Analytics team at GIFS. Previously, she obtained a B.Sc. in biochemistry (2012) as well as an M.Sc. (2016) and Ph.D. (2020) in computer science from the University of Saskatchewan.  

Her research program is focused on understanding the influence of 3D genome organization on complex agronomic traits. Ultimately, her goal is to leverage this spatial information to aid in the creation, identification, and selection of superior crops.
