Jaclyn was born and raised in Saskatoon, where she completed both her undergraduate and graduate (MSc) degrees at the University of Saskatchewan. She has returned to Saskatoon after several years living and working abroad in St. Catharines (Ontario), and more recently in Boston (Massachusetts).

Over the past decade, she has gained valuable work experience in both commercial service as well as research-oriented laboratories, including those with focuses on the animal, plant, and human genetics/genomics fields.

Jaclyn joined the Global Institute for Food Security at the beginning of 2021, where she enjoys putting her skills to use as a Senior Laboratory Technician in the Omics and Precision Analytics Laboratory.
