Paulina was born in Quito, Ecuador and received her bachelor degree in Agriculture from ESPE-IASA. In 2016, Paulina received her Master of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Agriculture and Bioresources, where she studied host-pathogen interactions of Septoria triseti on canary seed and controlling of leaf mottle and FHB on canary seed. After working two years as a Research Assistant at a Cereal and Flax Pathology Lab, she joined GIFS to provide technical support for creating apomictic Brassica plant hybrids.

Paulina loves agriculture and is interested in how fundamental research would be beneficial for growers.

Paulina loves Saskatchewan’s blue sky, and she considers Saskatoon home.
